There is a Find My Ring feature in the Ultrahuman app, and most people do not know it is there until they need it.
It works while your Ring still has battery and is in Bluetooth range. If it has been missing for days, skip ahead to searching by hand.
In this guide, we explain how to use Find My Ring and what to do when it cannot help.
How to use Find My Ring
- Open the Ultrahuman app
- Tap the menu in the top left
- Tap your Ring
- Under Ring Details, scroll down to Find My Ring
- The app will then guide you to the vicinity of the Ring.
This works for Ring AIR, Ring PRO, and the Ring PRO charging case.
It needs charge, and it needs to be within Bluetooth range of your phone, which is a few metres. A flat battery or a ring left at the gym is beyond what the feature can do.
Do these two things now, before you need them:
- Turn on location tracking for the Ultrahuman app. It lets the app show your Ring’s last known location. This can help you work out if you left it at the office or gym.
- Pair your charging case if you have a Ring PRO. The case can be found the same way, but only if it has been paired first.
If the battery is flat or the Ring is out of range
Find My Ring needs a live Bluetooth connection, so once the battery dies you are searching by eye.
Check when it last synced: Open the app and find the last sync time. That is the last moment the Ring was within a few metres of your phone, which tells you roughly when and where you still had it. Work backwards from there.
Move fast while there is still charge: If the Ring is somewhere in the house with a little battery left, walking slowly from room to room with the app open will pick it up when you get close enough.
