Pulsomics

The pulse doesn’t explain itself. People do.

Pulsomics pairs the pulse your Ring records with real human context, like a blood panel, a fitness test and how rested you actually felt, to build a foundational model of the human pulse.Pulsomics pairs the pulse your Ring records with real human context to build a foundational model of the human pulse.

Still got questions?

How accurate is the Ultrahuman Ring?
Accuracy is measured one metric at a time, each against a reference instrument. Total sleep agrees 97% with an FDA-cleared home sleep test (4 adults), overnight heart rate 96% and overnight HRV 93% with an ECG chest strap (9 participants), and VO₂max 89% with a laboratory exercise test (101 participants). Every accuracy study, with the reference standard and cohort for each, is on the studies page.
What is each metric tested against?
It depends on the signal. Total sleep and sleep stages are tested against an FDA-cleared home sleep test that records brain activity (EEG); sleep onset and wake time against a consumer smartwatch. Heart rate and HRV are tested against an ECG chest strap, steps against a hand tally counter, ovulation against a multi-metabolite ovulation test, and VO₂max against a laboratory exercise test. The reference and cohort for each study are on the studies page.
Where can I read the published research?
Our peer-reviewed papers, preprints and white papers are collected on the studies page, each linking to the full publication and the cohort it was run on. New work is added as it is released.
Is my data used in research?
Taking part in Pulsomics is opt-in: your Ring data is only added to Pulsomics studies if you choose to join, and you can withdraw at any time. Our privacy policy explains how de-identified, aggregated data is used for research.
What is Pulsomics, and how do I take part?
Pulsomics is our research programme that pairs the signals your Ring records with real-world outcomes to advance the science of everyday physiology. You can join from the Ultrahuman app in about a minute, and your contribution stays de-identified.
Can my lab or clinic collaborate with Ultrahuman?
Yes. We partner with universities, hospitals and research groups on validation work and new studies. Use the Partner with us button above and our science team will follow up.
